NFL 2013 Thanksgiving Picks

Helloooo and welcome back to another week of NFL Picks, brought to you by the Axe. It's now Week 12, (wow, it's already been that long), and has been 10 weeks since my last picks, which I made in Week 2, aka the previous post. Week 12's slate of games begin on Thanksgiving, beginning with the Packers taking on the Lions, followed by the Raiders visiting the Cowboys, and finally the Steelers slugging it out with the Ravens.  That's all I'll be predicting in this post, So without further ado, here's my picks for the NFL's 2013 Thanksgiving Games !

A classic rivarly ensues with the Packers heading to Ford Field against the Lions, after a tie, yes a tie, against the Vikings. Meanwhile, the Lions were humiliated by the 3-8 Bucs 24-21 on their own homefield. The Lions seemed like a lock to win the NFC North a few weeks ago, with the Packers and Bears losing Rodgers and Cutler, but now things aren't so clear. They're still the favorites to win it, but then again they're still the Lions. Taking the reigns for the Packers is Matt Flynn, who torched the Lions last year for 469 yards and 6 (!) TD's, setting the franchise record at the time, which was tied this year by Aaron Rodgers against the Redskins in Week 2 this year. Expect another high-scoring affair, with the Lions avenging their loss to Packers earlier this year, and Calvin Johnson to rip up that Packers D.

   Prediction: Lions 41-31

Next up on Thanksgiving Day is the Raiders heading into Dallas for a matchup against the Cowboys. Certainly not the most exciting matchup, would've preferred a divisonal game. Despite Mcgloin's stellar first two starts, I can't see him shredding that horrid Cowboys D, in a hostile environment. Look for Romo and the offense to light up Arlington Stadium, in what should be a comfortable win against the Raiders The Cowboys will improve to 28-15 on Thanksgiving Day Games.

                                            Prediction: Cowboys 34-17

Finally, to cap of Turkey Day, we have the Steelers heading into Baltimore to take on the Ravens. You know when these two rivals play, it's gonna be a heated, physical, and defensive battle. Both teams are coming of dominating wins, and are evenly matched at 5-6, but I will give the edge to the Ravens here because of home-field advantage. There's no way the Ravens lose in their own house in prime time.

                                              Prediction: Ravens 20-17

Thanks for reading, and a Happy Thanksgiving and Hannukah to everyone!!
